Power – a huge 4.9hp – for the Spectrum TG51SE 3-in-1 Petrol Lawnmower is supplied by a 173cc four-stroke engine with a lithium-battery-powered key starter for effort-free ignition, and OHV technology for emission compliance, vibration and noise reduction, and improved fuel economy.
Not just powerful, the engine is also seriously ‘torquey’, driving the blade through long, damp grass with supreme ease.
The Spectrum TG51SE 3-in-1 Self-Propelled Petrol Lawnmower benefits from self-propulsion, so will prove a sensible buy if your lawn’s on a gradient, or has sections of rough, lumpy grass.
Centralised height of cut adjustment makes what can be a troublesome process with lesser machines an easy one; extra-large-diameter drive wheels provide superior manoeuvrability, especially when working in long grass. Ball-bearing mounts ensure the wheels will continue to roll freely over time.
Supplied with mulch plug, a side-discharge chute and a roomy, 60-litre-capacity collector – all simple to fit and remove – the Spectrum TG51SE 3-in-1 Self-Propelled Petrol Lawnmower is capable of either recycling, side-ejecting or bagging your grass cuttings.
The catcher has a dust and pollen-retaining hard top, is made from textile to save storage space, and features a practical and convenient ‘catcher’ full indicator.
Other attractive attributes on the Spectrum TG51SE include simple camlock folding and adjustment of the comfortable soft-grip handlebar and a practical grassbag carry-handle for easy emptying of the contents.
Lithium-ion starter battery – with LED charge-status indicator – and charger – with ‘Charging’ light – both included.
Our manufacturer’s warranties are designed to give you lasting peace of mind. They can vary from 2 year domestic to up to 5 year domestic (the conditions for this are detailed further along this page)
Chipperfield machines are all covered with a two year domestic (non extendable) warranty.
The Spectrum petrol range are automatically covered for the first two years however, for each annual service the machine is given from the second year and thereafter, a further one year is added to a maximum of five years.
Other manufactures warranty periods and terms & conditions can vary – please ask a member of staff for specific information.
Warranty Duration
- Domestic Use: All Spectrum Products come with a 5-year conditional warranty from the date of purchase (or delivery)
Conditions to Maintain the Warranty
Regular Servicing: To qualify for the extended 5‑year warranty, the machine must be serviced before the end of the second year of ownership and then annually thereafter—with proof of service provided when making a claim. The spectrum product must be serviced by:
- An approved service centre.
- Self Maintain – If you would prefer to service your spectrum product yourself you can purchase annually one of our Service Packs
Product Registration: The warranty for your Spectrum Product will automatically start on the day of delivery. You DO NOT have to take any actions to register formally.
What’s Covered and What’s Not
- Covered: The warranty covers faults due to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. If a defect is found during the warranty period, Spectrum (or an authorised dealer) may repair or replace the faulty part or the entire unit at their discretion.
- Exclusions:
- Consumable items such as tyres, belts, blades, and similar parts (unless there is clear evidence of a manufacturing fault).
- Faults resulting from ordinary wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, or failure to follow the operating and maintenance instructions.
- Damage from modifications using non-approved components or from using stale/contaminated fuel.
- Use outside of domestic settings (warranty terms for commercial use may differ).
Additional Notes
- Non-Transferable: The warranty is only valid for the original purchaser.
- Separate Component Warranties: Some components (for example, batteries or battery chargers) might carry their own, typically shorter, warranty periods.
- Statutory Rights: This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under consumer protection laws.
In Summary
If you use your petrol Spectrum Product domestically and keep up with the recommended maintenance and registration, you are entitled to a warranty period that can extend up to 5 years. However, failing to service the machine as required or using it in uncovered ways will limit your warranty benefits.
