Spectrum TU52WT 2-Stroke Wheeled Petrol Strimmer & Brushcutter
The Spectrum TU52WT is a powerful, lightweight wheeled strimmer and brushcutter designed to make clearing long grass, weeds and overgrown areas easier and more comfortable.
Powered by a strong 52cc petrol engine, the TU52WT offers increased cutting performance compared with the smaller TU33WT model. The larger engine provides the additional power needed for tackling thicker grass, stubborn weeds and more demanding areas of overgrowth.
Unlike a conventional handheld strimmer or brushcutter, the TU52WT features a pedestrian walk-behind design. The weight of the machine is supported by its wheels, removing the need to carry a heavy petrol strimmer around your neck or support it with your arms and shoulders.
Simply guide the machine across the ground as you work. This helps to reduce physical strain and makes the TU52WT particularly suitable for larger gardens, longer cutting jobs and users who may find a traditional handheld brushcutter uncomfortable or difficult to operate.
The 28cm cutting width allows you to work efficiently around garden edges, pathways, fences, trees and other areas that may be difficult to reach with a standard lawnmower. Its wheeled design also provides improved stability and control when working across uneven or overgrown ground.
As a petrol-powered machine, the TU52WT offers unrestricted movement without the need for extension cables or nearby power sockets. It is ideal for use in gardens, allotments, orchards, paddock edges and other areas requiring regular maintenance.

Our manufacturer’s warranties are designed to give you lasting peace of mind. They can vary from 2 year domestic to up to 5 year domestic (the conditions for this are detailed further along this page)
Chipperfield machines are all covered with a two year domestic (non extendable) warranty.
The Spectrum petrol range are automatically covered for the first two years however, for each annual service the machine is given from the second year and thereafter, a further one year is added to a maximum of five years.
Other manufactures warranty periods and terms & conditions can vary – please ask a member of staff for specific information.
Warranty Duration
- Domestic Use: All Spectrum Products come with a 5-year conditional warranty from the date of purchase (or delivery)
Conditions to Maintain the Warranty
Regular Servicing: To qualify for the extended 5‑year warranty, the machine must be serviced before the end of the second year of ownership and then annually thereafter—with proof of service provided when making a claim. The spectrum product must be serviced by:
- An approved service centre.
- Self Maintain – If you would prefer to service your spectrum product yourself you can purchase annually one of our Service Packs
Product Registration: The warranty for your Spectrum Product will automatically start on the day of delivery. You DO NOT have to take any actions to register formally.
What’s Covered and What’s Not
- Covered: The warranty covers faults due to manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. If a defect is found during the warranty period, Spectrum (or an authorised dealer) may repair or replace the faulty part or the entire unit at their discretion.
- Exclusions:
- Consumable items such as tyres, belts, blades, and similar parts (unless there is clear evidence of a manufacturing fault).
- Faults resulting from ordinary wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, or failure to follow the operating and maintenance instructions.
- Damage from modifications using non-approved components or from using stale/contaminated fuel.
- Use outside of domestic settings (warranty terms for commercial use may differ).
Additional Notes
- Non-Transferable: The warranty is only valid for the original purchaser.
- Separate Component Warranties: Some components (for example, batteries or battery chargers) might carry their own, typically shorter, warranty periods.
- Statutory Rights: This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under consumer protection laws.
In Summary
If you use your petrol Spectrum Product domestically and keep up with the recommended maintenance and registration, you are entitled to a warranty period that can extend up to 5 years. However, failing to service the machine as required or using it in uncovered ways will limit your warranty benefits.

A lazy brushcutter is the best way i can describe it. Allows you to do everything a brushcutter does, but without the burden of having it hang around your neck. Great concept, wish i knew this style of brushcutter existed sooner.
