MTD T245 Petrol Front-Tine Tiller
This high-specification garden tiller from long established US manufacturers, MTD, is characterised by its expansive, 66cm tilling-width; a feature that combines with an adjustable depth bar to make it productive and flexible in use.
It’s fitted a premium-grade power unit from MTD themselves, the overhead-valve ThorX 55. Thanks to its OHV configuration, this 173cc, four-stroke motor will prove quiet and smooth in operation, ultra-dependable and remarkably cheap to run. A cast-iron crankshaft and a dual-stage air filter work to maximise the engine’s service life.
The MTD T245 Petrol Front-Tine Tiller incorporates a worm gear-type transmission, which not only confers rock-solid dependability, but also ensures the maximum amount of torque is delivered to the tine shaft for superior tilling performance.
A heavy-duty steel guard prevents stones flying-up into the operator’s face; the inclusion of a front transport wheel makes moving the tiller from place to place a simple, hassle-free operation.
