Mountfield HP41 Hand-Propelled Petrol Lawnmower
Combining a beefy petrol motor with a steel chassis and simple hand propulsion, the Mountfield HP41 Hand-Propelled Petrol Lawnmower delivers the kind of cutting power, durability and ease of handling you’d normally expect to find way up in another price bracket!
Supplying the power is a STIGA ST120 Autochoke engine; a 123cc four-stroke air-cooled unit with overhead-valve (OHV) technology for smooth, low-vibration operation with reduced emissions and improved fuel economy; and a well-engineered recoil mechanism for dependable pull starts in both the short and long terms.
The Mountfield HP41 Hand-Propelled Petrol Lawnmower has a 39cm width-of-cut, which ensures the efficient coverage of small-medium lawns up to around 600m2, while being compact enough to make it easy to manoeuvre around and between obstacles. Manoeuvrability is further enhanced by its lightweight build (19kg) and substantial wheels.
Thanks to its aerodynamically optimised deck shape, which means clippings are driven at speed into the roomy 40-litre catcher, the Mountfield HP41 excels when it comes to bagging in typically damp British conditions. The collector is made of loosely woven fabric, which lets air flow through to ensure it gets fully packed.
This model offers four-point height of cut adjustment through five positions, from a low 25mm for a close cut on formal lawns, up to 70mm for the successful management of longer, rougher grass.
Also featured is a fully foldable handlebar that works to save space in your shed or car boot.
