The powerful, 0.8hp/21.2cc, air-cooled two-stroke motor on the Echo HCR-165ES Petrol Hedgetrimmer runs quietly and efficiently, and has been equipped with Echo’s renowned ES-Start ignition system, which works to minimise the pulling power needed to get things going.

There’s also a high-grade three-stage air filter for an impressively lengthy engine life, and a throttle lockout for maximum operator safety.

So you can achieve the most comfortable angle of attack for any given task, the Echo HCR-165ES Petrol Hedgetrimmer has a rotatable rear handle, which can be adjusted through five stages.

An upgraded gearbox ensures excellent durability and optimum torque transfer; a shock-absorbing mount between the engine and handle works to spare the user’s arms and hand from vibration damage and debilitating fatigue.

The premium-quality blades on this model are double reciprocating and double sided, so a fast work rate and a clean, precise cut are assured. They also boast a wide, 35mm tooth pitch, which facilitates the trimming of woody, large-diameter growth.

In order to avoid scorching and plant damage, Echo have fitted the Echo HCR-165ES with an exhaust that directs hot gases away from the subject hedge.
