The Echo DCS-310 40v Cordless Chainsaw can be paired with either of two available lithium-ion batteries – 2Ah or 4Ah*. Lithium battery packs have numerous advantages over their conventional lead-acid and ni-cad cousins, including superior longevity, longer runtimes and shorter charge times. In addition, there’s no self-discharge effect, so they’ll maintain their charge level when not in use.

The premium, Japanese-built Echo DCS-310 40v Cordless Chainsaw comes equipped with a 30cm guide bar that’s compact enough to be easily manageable, while being lengthy enough to facilitate fast cuts in fairly substantial logs, branches and planks.

Dial-based chain tensioning means you can leave your toolbox in the shed when adjustment is required; a quick-stop electronic chain brake combines with soft start-up to ensure even less experienced users can be confident when it comes to safety.

At the heart of the Echo DCS-310 40v Cordless Battery Chainsaw is a high-output – and highly durable – brushless motor with electronic torque control, which not only optimises cutting-performance, but also works to limit battery drain rate.

Other attractive features include automatic chain oiling**, which minimises friction and keeps things running smoothly at all times; and an automatic cutout system, which prevents motor damage should an overload occur.
