Chipperfield HCT270P 2-Wheel Tractor

The Chipperfield HCT296D 2-Wheel Tractor combines the versatility of our popular multifunctional two-wheel tractor with the dependable pulling power and fuel economy of a Kama diesel engine. Built for demanding ground maintenance, smallholdings, paddocks, allotments and semi-professional use, it provides a rugged and adaptable power unit capable of tackling a wide variety of jobs.

At the heart of the HCT296D is the proven Kama KM178F diesel engine, delivering up to 4.0kW / 5.4hp at 3,600rpm. Diesel power makes this model particularly well suited to sustained, heavy-duty work where strong low-speed performance, durability and economical fuel consumption are important.

One Power Unit – Multiple Jobs

Rather than buying and maintaining several individual machines, the HCT296D uses a versatile PTO attachment system, allowing the tractor to be adapted for different applications.

Fit the optional scythe attachment to tackle long grass, weeds and dense vegetation in paddocks, orchards and overgrown areas. Alternatively, connect the cultivator attachment to create a powerful soil-working machine for vegetable plots, allotments, flower beds and other cultivated ground.

Changing attachments gives you a genuinely multifunctional machine that can be used throughout the growing season.

Kama Diesel Power

The Kama KM178F is a compact, heavy-duty diesel engine designed for demanding machinery applications. With a 78 × 62mm bore and stroke and maximum output of 4.0kW / 5.4hp at 3,600rpm, it provides dependable power for both vegetation cutting and soil cultivation.

Depending on specification, the engine is available with recoil or electric starting, making the HCT296D a practical alternative for customers who prefer diesel power over the petrol-engined HCT270P.

The Advantage of Diesel Power

Diesel-powered two-wheel tractors are relatively uncommon in today’s market, making this model an excellent choice for users specifically looking for the characteristics of a diesel engine. While outright horsepower is not necessarily higher than an equivalent petrol model, diesel engines are particularly well suited to this type of machinery thanks to their strong low-speed torque and pulling power. This makes the HCT296D ideally suited to demanding work where the engine is placed under sustained load, such as cultivating tough ground or cutting through heavy vegetation. Combined with the durability and fuel efficiency traditionally associated with diesel power, it provides a compelling alternative to the more commonly available petrol-powered two-wheel tractors.

Built for Demanding Ground

The HCT296D features three forward and two reverse gears, allowing the operator to select an appropriate working speed for the attachment, terrain and job at hand.

A built-in differential system improves manoeuvrability when turning and makes this substantial machine easier to control over uneven or challenging ground.

The handlebars can also be adjusted between -22° and 22°, helping the operator achieve a comfortable working position and maintain good control during extended periods of use.
